Manager, Software Engineering - Growth Platform
Figma is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building and scaling their growth platform products. This role will collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to drive user and revenue growth.
The Growth Platform team is on a mission to supercharge Figma’s growth by building a suite of platform products that will accelerate product and marketing teams in their user and revenue growth ambitions. Currently, the scope of this team includes Figma’s experimentation platform, localization framework, personalization framework, and our in-product messaging framework.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to define and build the next generation of platform products that will unlock growth for Figma. A successful EM will partner closely with growth product and growth marketing teams to strategically identify new platform opportunities while continuing to ensure engineering excellence with the existing systems.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Lead, grow and support a diverse team of engineers responsible for Figma’s growth platform products and frameworks.
- Partner closely with engineering and marketing leadership to identify opportunities and develop high leverage platforms that will enable product and marketing teams to accelerate growth efforts.
- Work closely with all product engineering teams at Figma to build best in class frameworks that will drastically increase the success of their respective products and features.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure that systems are built for scale and quality.
- Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 2+ years of experience managing and leading a high output engineering team.
- Experience managing or working on product platform teams where you are building products that are leveraged by internal product and XFN teams.
- Strong product intuition and XFN collaboration skills to identify and evangelize business/product gaps that can be solved through a platform product.
- Hands-on technical experience: you have built complex backend systems as an individual contributor, and can represent the technical details of work shipped by the team you’ve managed.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team. Proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and guiding senior/staff engineers.
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Previous experience managing or working on growth platform teams.
- Domain expertise with experimentation and ML frameworks.
