The Staff PM for Governance and Security role is a new role we are creating in our fast-growing organization. This position is a high-profile, business-critical role driving initiatives to continually evolve and improve how organizations adopt and use our metered cloud service.

This role is a key piece of our growing Product Management team to lower the friction of customer acquisition and account growth by making it simple and powerful to integrate Temporal into the fabric of a customers’ identity, access, and governance machinery.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive the roadmap for solving problems around access and integration efforts that drive adoption of our core product.
  • Work closely with enterprise customers to understand their needs for managing identity and access controls, resource provisioning, compliance, and integration into their systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define and communicate the high-level strategy for how we will ensure customers can easily adopt and expand their use of Temporal.
  • Become our local expert on how our IAM and policy systems work and how they empower customer accounts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Product fundamentals - communication, systems thinking, customer advocacy, coalition building, and a knack for shipping.
  • Proven success as a product manager in online services, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; 8+ years preferred.
  • Experience in developing or significantly revising features or machinery for managing users, access controls, resource allocation, and/or compliance. Strong candidates will have stories to tell about lessons learned through setting up new governance models or IAM features that improved adoption or customer satisfaction.
  • General knowledge of how large enterprises think about adopting new technology relative to their policies around user access and integration with security or governance regimes. Strong candidates will be able to discuss the dynamics of navigating the needs of companies to satisfy both operating and info-sec requirements.
  • General familiarity with how software teams function. Our customers are all engineering organizations inside companies of all sizes across many industries. Strong candidates will have either had engineering orgs as a customer before or have other background around software delivery in a business.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $196,000 - $245,000 depending on experience and geographical location.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan.
