Product Manager

Overview

Everything in America is delivered by truck - and at Parade, we’re changing the way that happens. Before Parade, our customers spent hours trying to find and book trucks to cover their freight. Parade’s machine learning and workflow tools automate the matching and booking process. We’re just getting started in how we transform full truck freight and we’re looking for an inspired Product Lead to join our team.

Freight is digitizing - and you’re going to make this possible for every freight broker. Whether finding a carrier or booking a load, you’re going to both speed up and automate this process. In order to do this, you’ll partner with our leading customers and leverage all that we know across our customer experience, data science, sales and leadership teams. You’re going to experiment to help our customers do more and then rapidly scale up any learnings across all of our customers. And you’re willing to touch any and all parts of our business to make this happen.

We’re looking for a Product Lead with strong analytical, technical and communication skills. You have the toolkit to deeply understand customer needs (both by talking to them and analyzing data) and you love partnering closely with them. You know how to scrappily develop and test a hypothesis-and when you build, you build with scale in mind. We’re also a small team that moves fast so you’ll need to be self-starting and embrace ambiguity - and we’ll make sure you get the coaching, guard rails and support to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize key business metrics including conversion rates and transactional revenue
  • Own and execute the roadmap for two product and engineering pods. Includes both quarterly planning, ongoing sprint execution and new software launch
  • Work with customers and internal partners to identify, build and deploy software that helps freight brokers cover more loads per day at higher margins

What Success Looks Like

  • At 30 days: you are running the sprints for your pods and recognized as the owner to go to for prioritization. You are starting to understand customer problems and the metrics that address tehm
  • At 60 days: you’re planned your next quarter and helped set goals (including financial) and you’ve got a plan to accomplish them
  • At 90 days: you’ve shipped your first feature that is driven by you, end-to-end. You are fully autonomous in owning your pods and able to drive the GTM initiatives around your pods

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Proven experience in customer discovery and working backwards. Customers love you because you can understand their problems and workflows
  • Exceptional communication skills (both listening and writing/presenting)
  • Engineers, customer experience, designers and salespeople love you because you know that if you don’t make them succeed then you don’t succeed
  • Proficient in SQL, R or Python for data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previously brought a product from concept to launch
  • Previous early stage startup, freight tech and/or enterprise Saas experience
  • Experience launching scaling machine learning/generative AI products
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree or previous experience in engineering, computer science, data science or design
  • Managed a team of product managers

Perks

  • Competitive salary and compensation package with full Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • 401k plan to help you save for the future
  • UNLIMITED Paid Time Off - and we want you to use it!
  • 100% Remote
  • Company Offsites to get to know your teammates

Compensation

The expected salary for this role is $130,000-160,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience level, transferrable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
