Signal is the world’s most widely used truly private messaging app. We’re hiring a product manager to help us craft and develop high-quality experiences in an app where privacy and gold-standard security are non-negotiable, and must be paired with elegant and intuitive user interfaces. This role is an opportunity to have a direct impact on Signal, one of the most geopolitically important pieces of technology in the world, while working closely with a talented team of product managers and designers to meet the challenge of creating a useful, intuitive app that provides essential communications privacy to millions and millions of people around the globe.

About you

  • Experience working with consumer mobile app development, including developing product specs, working closely with designers to help guide UX decisions.
  • Strong experience working with engineering teams to develop apps.
  • Experience shipping a successful mobile app and guiding a design from conception to execution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design tools, app development tools, platform conventions, common patterns, and components.
  • Strong knowledge of the trends in consumer messaging and in other communication tools.
  • A passion for privacy and security minded products, and an understanding of the exciting challenges and opportunities that putting privacy first present.
  • Experience working with emerging markets and development for a global audience.
  • Strong knowledge of broader consumer behaviors in the mobile app space.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.

  • Salary range based on experience: $150,000 - $210,000.
