Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who will bring curiosity, product thinking, and a desire to uplevel the people around them to our team. You will report to the Engineering Manager for the Integrations team and will be responsible for many of the key integrations that Calendly’s customers interact with every day.

A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly

The Calendly platform is a monolith that is being decomposed into various services in order for us to scale our platform and team. We need ambitious, experienced engineers who can help us drive this stage of growth. As an engineer at Calendly, you will both build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You will build tooling and automation to fine tune our delivery process as you grow into a service oriented specialist. You will also learn to work with multiple technologies such as Rails, NodeJS, TypeScript, React, Golang, PostgreSQL, and Redis, to name a few.

On a typical day, you will be: 

  • Building composable services with TypeScript (Node), Ruby (Rails), Go, and/or Python
  • Collaborating within your team to plan and build new features
  • Reviewing Implementation Plans and pull requests of your teammates, and incorporating their feedback into your own IPs and PRs
  • Developing RESTful and event-driven APIs for both internal and external use
  • Partnering regularly with engineers, product managers, and designers to write IPs and execute on requirements
  • Sharing your knowledge with other team members
  • Taking part in an on-call rotation

What do we need from you?

  • 5+ years of Software Development experience
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices)
  • Experience with integrations or developer platforms
  • Previous experience surviving a Monolith to Services architectural rebuild is preferred
  • A drive to craft readable, reliable and maintainable code
  • Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
