The RealReal is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to continue the innovation on our digital products that delight our buyers and consignors. As a product owner, you will drive the conceptual and technical development of product ideas from end to end, including creating business cases, prioritizing scope ruthlessly, and working directly with a full stack development team on a daily basis. Manage multiple engineering teams and data science collaborators. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management, providing thought leadership, and partnering across functional areas and other product teams to launch initiatives that deliver value to the customer and our business.

  • Conceive, build and drive development teams to deliver high quality solutions that are user focused and meet business needs
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and business partners to define our product vision and strategy across your product areas, and deliver tangible business outcomes
  • Present to leadership on a regular basis, including scope recommendations, launch strategies, project performance post-launch and go-forward plans
  • Explain the why to development teams including problem statements and supporting data
  • Write technical requirements, drive to key milestones, remove blockers, and resolve issues
  • Understand key metrics and ensure those metrics are upheld or improved
  • Execute efficiently in a fast-paced, fluid environment where change is constant and creativity is a must

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience with relevant experience in eCommerce, marketplace, retail
  • Self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and execute on several major initiatives at a time
  • Experience leading A/B testing programs
  • Proven track-record: past projects were consistently successful (i.e. met the consumer’s need, met business objectives, delivered on-time with no/few surprises)
  • Creative problem solver. Able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions
  • Outcome oriented: not reactionary; clearly and continuously communicate the desired outcome and work collaboratively to create a path to achieve it
  • Consensus builder. Able to curate and build on the ideas of others in pursuit of the best solution
  • Must be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of product-building areas including engineering, design, analytics, and user research/insights
  • Must have a great understanding and empathy for The RealReal customers and be their advocate
  • Rigorous: ask hard questions, validate their assumptions, and make sure asks align to the actual needs of the business
  • Have a great eye for a good technical solve and must be able to collaborate with engineers

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience leading native app engineers
  • Experience and examples of work with AI/ ML

The expected salary range for this role is $160,275.00 - $187,456.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
