The Product Manager will be responsible for Hoplo, our aftermarket radar product intended for collision avoidance applications, primarily on industrial and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience serving as Product Manager for a hardware product utilized by large-scale industrial fleets or OEMs. 

Salary parameters for this role are based on experience, with a base in the $131,000 to $173,000 range. In addition, we also offer equity participation, full benefits, 401K (with match), and a wellness perk of up to $75 per month for gym membership reimbursement. This position is remote eligible, and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Specific Duties

  • Work closely with customers to best understand their expectations for product, and then work with Sales and Engineering to best define both the product roadmap as well as the go-to-market strategy
  • Stay abreast of competitive requirements and recognize key product differentiators; provide insight back to teams to inform technical requirements and drive new product sales
  • Engage closely with both Sales and Engineering to inform decisions that balance timing, cost, features, and performance, while staying true to the product strategy and vision.
  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison that bridges engineering, business, and regulatory considerations to drive product decisions.
  • Provide input into Product Marketing decisions and activities.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a customer-facing product leadership role
  • Experience bringing a hardware product for commercial and industrial fleets successfully to market, from inception through to market adoption
  • Extensive understanding of how to gather market input from customers to define a successful product roadmap
  • Experience working as a Field Service Engineer, or working closely with Field Service Engineers strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to evolve product strategy based on customer input, research, data, and industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunities with all stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams including Business, Sales, and Engineering to meet revenue goals
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; start-up experience strongly preferred
  • Highly organized and collaborative, with exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with JIRA desired, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
